The OBD 1810-2 is a bidirectional fiber optic to SDI transmitter and receiver pair designed for the transmission and reception of uncompressed broadcast-quality video signals over long distances. Utilizing a single fiber link in a compact, self-contained package, this solution effectively addresses the limitations associated with SDI signal distribution. Supplied as a pair—Type A and Type B—the modules operate in a WDM closed-loop application, each featuring an electrical SDI input and output, and utilizing a single fiber link between them. Each channel functions independently, supporting different standards and formats of SDI video. The modules auto-detect and re-clock any 270Mbit/s, 1.5Gbit/s, and 3Gbit/s SDI source prior to conversion, and are fully compatible with 3G Level A and Level B formats.
