The OBD 1910 kit is a straightforward, plug-and-play solution designed to extend 1Gbit/s or 10Gbit/s electrical Ethernet networks over long distances using a single bidirectional fiber link. Traditional setups require separate fibers for transmission and reception; however, the OBD 1910 employs WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology to facilitate both directions over a single singlemode fiber, effectively doubling efficiency and reducing infrastructure costs. This kit includes two modules and two power supplies, ensuring a seamless setup without complex configurations.
