The OET 1940 series by LYNX Technik AG is engineered to extend the reach of 1Gbit/s or 10Gbit/s Ethernet signals over fiber optic cables, providing flexible solutions for diverse networking requirements. The series includes three main variants:
- OET 1940 (Copper ◄► CWDM): Converts electrical RJ-45 Ethernet signals to CWDM multiplexed fiber optic signals. This variant includes a 10Gbit/s RJ45 electrical SFP, with the CWDM SFP purchased separately based on the required wavelength.
- OET 1940 MC (Multimode ◄► CWDM): Facilitates conversion between optical multimode and CWDM fiber. It comes with a multimode SFP, while the CWDM SFP needs to be selected separately.
- OET 1940 MS (Multimode ◄► Singlemode): Enables seamless conversion between multimode and single-mode fiber. This variant includes both multimode and single-mode SFPs, each with two fiber connections (one for TX and one for RX) utilizing LC connectors.
