The Darwin HD Receiver (TAV-DARWINHD-RX) is an AV-over-IP receiver using H.265 hardware decoding. It accepts HDMI input compliant with HDMI 1.3 / HDCP 1.4 and supports resolutions up to 1920×1200 at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma. The unit allows audio embedding/extraction, with LPCM 2.0 (32 / 44.1 / 48 kHz) format support. It also supports RS-232 control (including pass-through & Guest mode). Encoding/decoder streams include a main and sub stream, configurable via Web GUI or Darwin Controller.

It supports signal distribution over a 1G LAN using point-to-point, multicast, distributed matrix, and video wall (up to 9×9) modes. EDID management with scaling is included. Power is via PoE or a 12V locking power adapter. The package includes phoenix connectors and mounting hardware. The product is fully TAA compliant and carries a 5-year warranty.
