Lynx Technik yellobrik PDM 1484 B AES Audio Embedder / De-embedder (unbalanced AES)

The PDM 1484 B is a multifunctional AES audio embedder and de-embedder supporting a wide range of SDI video formats up to 12G-SDI. It accommodates unbalanced AES3id audio inputs and outputs via 75 Ohm BNC connections. Users can select audio groups using rotary switches, and additional audio groups can be managed by cascading multiple modules. The module's simultaneous embedding and de-embedding capability allows it to de-embed and output audio from a selected group before overwriting it with new audio if necessary. It automatically detects audio formats and deactivates sample rate converters to preserve encoded bit streams like DolbyE. The "auto black" mode generates a black video frame if no SDI input is present, enabling audio embedding even without a video source—a useful feature for audio-only applications. An integrated 1 kHz test tone generator facilitates audio testing. The module is compatible with LynxCentraal and yelloGUI software, providing access to additional internal settings, including manual insertion of metadata such as AFD, WSS, and VI
